Shredding kilograms off your belly: Why interval training is the fastest routine to lose the belly fat

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

A lot of people are looking for a great way to eliminate belly fat. After spending many years training for all sorts of sports, there aren’t too many workouts I don’t know about. So if you want to discuss losing fat, I know for certain that pretty much every workout will lose weight. All of them, just a few works a hundred times faster than the others!

Now if you were trying to lose belly fat, you wouldn′t in your right mind spend all of your time doing the exercises that would take forever?

In fact an hour of the right kind of exercise is worth more than eight hours of the wrong kind of exercise.

So what are the best lose belly fat exercises? These exercises are unique in the fact that they change your body into a fat burning mode for up to thirty eight hours after your workout. So you have finally found a way to lose weight while you snooze.

The secret of this long term fat burning lies in a process called EPOC. This occurs when you use up your muscles energy reserves and your body goes into a process of breaking down fat stores to resupply the body with the energy that it lost.

This state only tends to happen with high intensity interval training types of workouts. In fact they create EPOC naturally, that’s why they are the best lose belly fat exercise.

There is research to back these claims, in fact the initial study done by Trembley concluded that the interval training was 9 times more effective than standard cardio.  A lot of research has been done on this lose belly fat exercise since then, and although the concept is still the same, there have been tweaks added which multiply your fat loss. The more advanced workouts can lose around 2 kilograms a week.

interval training is a mixture of very intense exercise for a brief period of time followed by a rest. Although it’s a pretty simple concept you can maximise your lose belly fat exercise by making sure that you recover enough to really be able to give your all in the sprint phase.  The more intense your interval, the more reserves you use and the longer your body stays in epoc. The great thing about it is that for beginners twenty minutes, three times a week will provide you with visible changes in your fat loss.

Developing Muscles for Fit Body

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

If you’re going to get in shape for summer, you are probably wondering what types of exercises to get in shape for summer are the most effective. Well, first of all, you should realize that getting into shape for summer requires more than just losing weight. Unless you’ve been toning your muscles as well, you probably will not look as good as you would like. Not only that, but muscle tissue also burns more calories than fat tissue - so if you add a little bit of muscle mass now, you’ll find it easier to keep the weight off through the summer.

Resistance Training Is An Important Part Of Any Exercise Routine.

The best options for toning your muscles involve some resistance training, which should be a major part of your exercise to get in shape for summer. While you do not need to do a lot of weight lifting unless you actually want to bulk up a little, some resistance training is necessary. This includes getting free weights or a home gym in order to work out your upper and lower bodies. You should also use resistance training on your abdominal muscles - this way they will look much better than if you are just relying on un-weighted sit-ups or crunches to help you build your stomach muscles. Also you need to use some tools that may help you to measure your progress. If you are a person that loves the outdoors a pedometer can make a huge difference during the summer, and if you can’t go outside to do some jogging during the winter, may be you can consider a treadmille to increase your fitness levels.

The other benefit of doing resistance training, especially on your abdomen, is that it will likely help you feel better during the rest of the day. Strong abs, for instance, will improve your posture. Proper posture is important to avoid lower back pains from prolong hours in the office.

Finally, exercising to get in shape is always a good idea! Don’t be discouraged that you have not reached your goal during summer because your body had already reap the benefits of the exercise.

Exercise To Treat Anxiety

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Exercise is one of the best ways that you can help your anxiety naturally, without pills and other medications.  Exercise is the “cure all” for just about everything.  The reason exercise works so well is that it releases endorphins to the brain and gives your mind a boost of serotonin.  This is the same way that many SSRIs work.  Not only that, but exercise puts you in control of your body and is a proactive approach in treating your health.

Most anxiety disorders all have one component in common - control.  People who are worried about losing control are often those who are the most anxious.  While most people accept the fact that control is not necessarily in their hands at all times, those with anxiety cannot accept this fact.  They feel that they need control in order to function.  The loss of control can send them into a tailspin that launches a full anxiety attack.

While we cannot control everything that happens in our lives, we do have control when it comes to our bodies.  And we can exercise.  Exercise is the wonder cure.  It helps alleviate anxiety by working out the stress that you are feeling as well as raising endorphins that send messages to your brain.  What can be better than that?

In the morning, you can perform cardiovascular exercises.  This includes running, jogging, stair climbing and even elliptical workouts.  Whatever you can do to get the old ticker working will do just fine when you are exercising to treat anxiety.  This will not only help you mentally, but physically as well.  It will burn off calories and keep your heart in good shape.  But do not do cardiovascular exercises before you go to bed or else you may have a difficult time falling asleep.

Prior to going to bed, you may incorporate some Pilates exercises or even some Yoga.  These are stretching exercises that will relax you as well as keep you in good shape.  You can be relaxed and feel ready for a good night’s sleep when you are practicing these exercises at night.   You do not have to attend Yoga classes to learn the moves and you do not have to contort your body into all sorts of impossible shapes.  The main thing is that you learn how to stretch and relax.

By exercises to treat anxiety and depression, you do not only boost your mood and relax your body, you give yourself something to concentrate on, instead of concentrating on yourself.  An exercises routine will take away the troubles that you have in your mind and give you something else on which to focus.  It truly is the cure all for anxiety and depression.

Ninety Percent Of Men Will Develop A Swollen Prostate

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

As we get older health problems not surprisingly start to occur and one problem that you are very unlikely to escape if you live long enough is an enlarged prostate gland.

The problem is normally first seen in men once they have passed 45, though it can sometimes appear at earlier ages, and you will have something like a 50 percent chance of experiencing the problem of an enlarged prostate gland by the time you reach 60 years of age.

Once you have reached 60 the odds of experiencing the condition increase significantly and, by the time you are 80, your chances of having an enlarged prostate will be as high as 90 percent.

The prostate gland, which is situated just below the bladder and is a part of the reproductive system, grows rapidly during puberty and by the time you reach maturity it weighs about one ounce and is roughly the size of a walnut. What is often not realized however is that this is not the end of its growth and that the prostate gland continues to grow very slowly throughout the remainder of a man’s life.

However, in middle age cell growth naturally begins to accelerate in one particular area of the prostate that partially surrounds the urethra, which is responsible for carrying urine from the bladder out of the body.

At first this acceleration in the growth of cells, that are non-cancerous, is relatively slow and many men will experience no symptoms at all from it, or the symptoms will be so mild that they are dismissed as a simple case of ‘getting older′.

However, in time, as the prostate continues to grow, it will start to squeeze the urethra interrupting the urine flow from the bladder and symptoms will start to become clear. At first these will not be painful, or even especially uncomfortable, although they will become increasingly frustrating as you begin to experience difficulty with urinating, waking frequently during the night to visit the bathroom and possibly the embarrassing tendency to dribble urine after you have visited the bathroom.

At this point you should talk to your doctor not simply to seek treatment for an enlarged prostate but also so that you can undergo screening for the possibility of any underlying signs of prostate cancer.

What Are The Chances Of Getting Prostate Cancer And What Can Be Done To Lower The Risk?

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Over the past few years there has been considerable debate about prostate cancer and the subject of preventing prostate cancer in particular and this remains rather controversial. While, as with the majority of cancers, men do not themselves cause the onset of prostate cancer, there are clearly a number of risk factors for developing the disease and there is a lot which can be done, if not to actually prevent it, then without doubt to reduce your risk of developing it.

The first step in prostate cancer prevention is simply to understand that you are at risk of developing the condition and to understand just what the different risk factors are.

There can be no question that men who have a family history of prostate cancer are at greater risk and that the risk for somebody with a close relative having the condition is approximately twice that of somebody without any family history. With two close relatives the risk rises to around five times that of somebody without any family history and with three close relatives the risk reaches a staggering ninety-seven percent.

One difficulty here is that a lot of men do not know their family history, frequently because many fathers, grandfathers or brothers have died from other illnesses without even knowing they had prostate cancer. This happens because prostate cancer often develops late in life and can be a very slow growing form of cancer. As a consequence there is a good chance of individuals developing other conditions alongside their prostate cancer and it is these other conditions which ultimately cause their death.

So, if you are uncertain of your family history, then a good point at which to start is to try to check things out if at all possible. If this is not possible then it is probably a good idea to be cautious and assume that the risk might be there rather than assume that you are in the clear.

Another important factor is that of race. For example, African American men are at higher risk than Hispanic men who, in turn, are at greater risk than Caucasian men. The risk for an African American man is roughly sixty percent greater than that of a Caucasian man.

Yet another risk factor is diet and men who are living in Western countries such as the United States or the United Kingdom are at higher risk because of the high fat levels in most Western diets. Here for the first time is a risk factor that you can actually do something about and lowering the fat in your diet and eating such things as more fresh fruit and vegetables can lessen your risk quite dramatically.

Now, at this point we begin to get into difficulty because, beyond the principle of lowering levels of fat in your diet, views start to differ when it comes to other areas of the diet that may be helpful in preventing prostate cancer.

There is little doubt that levels of things like vitamins and minerals in your diet can have a dramatic affect on your general health and will without doubt have a part to play when it comes to your prostate health. However, determining exactly which vitamins and minerals play a role is not a simple matter and is certainly a subject all of its own.

Prostate cancer is just one of several prostate problems which many men will suffer from at some point in their lives and it is important to understand this range of problems and be able to spot prostate cancer symptoms and know what your prostate cancer treatment options are.

Getting Physical: Physical Fitness Program

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Leading a healthy life or trying to get on the road to a healthy lifestyle takes dedication, a plan of action and a commitment to stay the physical fitness course. To accomplish this goal, there are two key practical key components. Undertaking a healthy diet and following a physical fitness program is two of those key components.

Healthy Diet

One’s diet is a key component to an effective physical fitness program. This is because a healthy diet provides the nutrients and energy needed to maintain a physical fitness program.

In addition, if an individual is trying to lose weight through a physical fitness program and yet eats empty calories their efforts may prove counterproductive. If one’s goal is to lose weight they should decrease their calorie intake and therefore it is important to eat a balanced diet.

It is important that one pay attention to how the food is prepared, in addition to monitoring the food that is eaten. Therefore, if committing to a physical fitness program it is best to eat foods that are broiled, baked, steamed, etc. On the other hand those involved in physical fitness training should avoid fast foods, processed food, foods that are fried etc. These types of food could contain excess calories or may cause the individual to feel sluggish. In turn this will decrease the individual’s energy and motivation.

Physical Fitness Program

There are many physical fitness programs that individuals can pursue. The type of program that is followed is dependent upon the individual and what personal physical goals they wish to achieve.

For example if an individual wishes to lose weight they may wish to involve themselves in a physical fitness program that burns large amounts of calories. Some of those types of activities could include swimming. Swimming is an excellent activity because the individual utilizes the major muscles of the body and the swimming action burns a large number of calories.

Power walking is an excellent choice if one wants to build their stamina. Power walking is a physical fitness program that takes walking and ratchets it up a number of levels. This particular exercise stimulates the heart, raises the heart beat level and increases the respiratory level. These actions help to stimulate the cardiovascular system to a productive level which in turn increases one’s stamina.

Additionally, a person who is trying to increase the tone in their muscles or bulk up, they may wish to lift weights.

There are two key components to leading a healthy lifestyle. These components consist of starting a healthy diet and following a physical fitness program. View more no cost articles at http://fitness.jsgenterprises.com

What Are The Benefits Of A Colon Detox

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Colon detoxification is one of the most popular natural living trends today. But many people are still confuse as to benefits of a colon cleanse. Colon detoxification, as you can see, is far from an uncontroversial practice. It is pretty new to our society, and hasn’t really been completely studied or tested thoroughly, so the debate rages on. No matter, many actually found quite a bit of a relief from various ailments through the body cleasing.

One of the most famous benefits of a colon cleanse is the increased of energy. Many people believe that stagnant waste in our bodies stops us from absorbing the necessary nutrients that we require. Through body cleanse, liver detox, and other complementary medical procedures, we can once again enjoy a renewed vitality similar to the feeling of abundant life that children have. I talked to many who went through the procedure, and this is an almost universal conclusion.

There is a medical theory popular among some alternative health doctors that diseases originate in the colon, and that through cleansing out stagnant toxins, you can halt the diseases at their roots. In that colon cleansing is much less expensive and painful than many of the most popular medical tests, if this claim is true it can be a great way of addressing mysterious or troublesome chronic illnesses such as colon diseases

The benefits of a colon cleanse are further enhanced by fasting because the fast stops new toxins from entering the body, while the cleansing at the same time helps to flush out the ones that are there already. It allows the body to focus all of its energy on getting rid of the toxins, which is supposed to be a recharging and empowering process. Some people try it once and conclude that it is not for them. Other people, however, seem to absolutely swear by the detox treatment and claim that it has made them healthier than they have ever been.
